A Harold Between Worlds
A downloadable game
My entry into the prestigious Harold Jam 2022: Dark Universe!
https://itch.io/jam/haroldjam22
A hybrid JRPG / Zelda-like with some puzzle elements and a somewhat branching(ish) story.
Fairly challenging, using the Brave Turn Battle system for some strategic combat. (difficulty slider included for folks that just want to see the story!)
Forewarning, it's a bit on the longer side: 1 hr+ first playthrough.

Really good game. I liked the summoning aspect in battle. Got a minor error after the credits for the power of friendship ending. Not that big an issue since it was probably just going back to the menu.

Hey Kobato Games, I appreciate you giving this game a look! I've definitely made some notes on what folks liked from this battle system and hope to incorporate those elements in future projects.
Thanks for the report on that TypeError as well.
You're correct that it would've just gone back to the Title Screen, so it's not game breaking, but I still plan to fix that bug for a future patch, if I can.
Finally revisited this, got an alternate (absorb your friends) ending, and defeated that damnable Reid (so easy to miss)! This game really holds up. It was a total blast second time through.
Thanks for giving the game a second play through Human. Also, congrats on finding/defeating Reid! (he's tougher on Dark Path IMO, so hats off to your skills)
I'm still humbled by the reception this project received. Can't wait to see what the next jam may bring.
May the Harold be with you - always.
Huge fan of this one! Possible contender for my favourite, but there are so gosh darn many great entries this year!
